“The Good Samaritan”

True Religion Expressed in Compassion and Active Ministry

Answering a lawyer who sought to justify himself, Jesus tells the unforgettable parable of the wounded traveler on the Jericho road. While religious officials pass by in cold indifference, a despised Samaritan demonstrates the genuine love of God by binding up his wounds and paying for his care. Christ commands us: 'Go, and do thou likewise.'
