“Gethsemane”

Christ's Supreme Agony in the Garden and Victorious Surrender to the Father's Will

Under the gnarled olive trees of Gethsemane, Jesus bore the crushing burden of the world's transgressions. Struggling in agony with sweat like great drops of blood, He drank the bitter cup of separation from the Father to redeem fallen humanity, uttering the triumphant prayer of total submission: 'Not My will, but Thine, be done.'
